We are an established and reputable children’s nursery based in Hethersett, 4 miles south of Norwich. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality nursery provision for children up to 5 years of age; all in a nurturing, stimulating and inspiring environment.

Our Philosophy

Children are at the heart of all that we do and their well-being is paramount to our nursery provision. We focus on the welfare, happiness and promotion of every child’s natural curiosity and interests through personalised provision and a broad and balanced curriculum.

Our approach

We are committed to ensuring that every child can reach their full potential. Our three rooms are designed to be purposeful and stimulating with age-appropriate, multi-sensory and challenging resources in each.

The space and resources are so well thought out with routines from the very start. Communication is good with the use of Parent Zone with photos uploaded regularly as well as the usual meal/nappy information. Our experience at Nellie’s has been nothing but positive, all the staff are so friendly and approachable. Our little one is currently in the pre school room and she always skips in each morning and always talks about what she has learnt at the end of the day, along with all photos and observations we receive we can see how much she has learnt and how happy she is.

My daughter has attended Nellie’s since she was 15 months and we have loved it. All the staff are so welcoming and friendly and always greet and talk to her and everyone knows who she is. Her development has certainly been boosted going to Nellie’s and she has always been taught a wide range of things alongside having fun and developing her own interests. We will miss Nellie’s when she goes to school.

Nellie’s is such a wonderful nurturing place. Both of my little ones have so much fun every day, they love the fun and creative activities the team are constantly coming up with to help them develop and learn, and grow in confidence.

As a parent, I love the daily communication and pictures. I know what my little one has done each day and love that I can share in what they’ve done and talk to them about it. The team welcome feedback and I’ve always felt involved in any suggested changes coming up.

My daughter has now completed her first year at school and everyone at Nellie’s played a huge part in preparing her for that big step and she’s really thrived!

Without a doubt I would recommend Nellie’s day nursery as a childcare provider. Nellie’s offers such a fabulous setting for children aged between 3 months and 5 years. The staff are fantastic, they are committed to making sure each child achieves their full potential, allowing them explore, learn and develop in a fun and structured environment following the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. Nellie’s also offers a fantastic varied food plan, each day I am notified via the parent zone app on what my daughter has had for her meals, the meals are always healthy, nutritious and are freshly cooked by the onsite chef.

Leaving your first born at nursery and returning to work isn’t easy but the Nellie’s team were great, the settling sessions were not just good for our son they also helped me. Samuel settled into nursery life quickly, he enjoyed all the home cooked meals, benefitted from the daily routine, loved all the outside space, and made lots of friends. He grew in confidence and learnt so much during his time at Nellie’s. He moved onto school last September and his younger sister Isabel has joined Nellie’s, Samuel often asks if he can be picked up first so he can pop back and say hello to all the team he grew to love. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nellie’s to other parents.
